Citizen Havel

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Pavel Koutecký Award, we are screening Citizen Havel, a significant documentary film by Pavel Koutecký, which was made over a period of thirteen years and offers a unique insight into Václav Havel's presidency. The screening also commemorates the long-term production and organizational work of Jarmila Poláková, founder of the Pavel Koutecký Award, who was instrumental in the creation of both the film and the award itself.

The personality of Václav Havel, whom the film depicts in various situations - during political meetings as well as in moments in which the media do not normally present him, for example when he get angry and swear at poorly tailored shirts.
