Pavel Koutecký: Chilean Diary
Two episodes from the series Chilean Diary by Pavel Koutecký and Jan Burian. The screening will be followed with a debate.
In the sand
The driest desert in the world, where it never rains and yet people live there. Wine is grown in the oases, people swim in the pools and some live here simply because they enjoy it. Pavel Koutecký uses his camera to remind us where the famous Chilean glacier comes from and how it was to live in the desert fifty years ago.
Santiago - a life in motion and dance
The capital of this strange South American country. You can borrow a book on the metro, taxi drivers navigate by the mountains, and convenience stores are so big you'll be tired before you run to the bagels. Buses stop in the middle of intersections to win the battle for customers, and one interesting family lives under a large boulder and isn't afraid of earthquakes.
