Why don't we tell stories about pain? Is it too intimate, chaotic, "feminine"? Womb+ is a collective testimony about living with endometriosis and everyday survival. It reveals the systemic failures of medicine, which renders pain invisible and conditions the value of the human body on its ability to reproduce and its economic productivity in the capitalist system.
Mariana Petřáková (1998) studied journalism and gender studies at Charles University. She works as an editor and writer for Nový Prostor magazine, co-organizes the Reproductive Justice Month event, occasionally speaks or shouts at demonstrations, and enjoys reading lesbian literature. Despite her dislike of the German language, she currently lives in Vienna.
